Darden Restaurants Inc. (DRI) is the target of a purported class-actionlawsuit, according to a law firm.

The law firm of Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins alleges that thecompany made "materially false and misleading statements" related to the itsfinancial performance.

The law firm said the suit was filed in the District Court for the MiddleDistrict of Florida on behalf of stock purchasers between June 19 and December18.

A Darden spokesperson said he hadn't yet seen the suit and, as a result, wasunable to comment.
