Darden Restaurants Inc. (DRI) is the target of a purported class-action lawsuit, according to a law firm.

The law firm of Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins alleges that the company made "materially false and misleading statements" related to the its financial performance.

The law firm said the suit was filed in the District Court for the Middle District of Florida on behalf of stock purchasers between June 19 and December 18.

A Darden spokesperson said he hadn't yet seen the suit and, as a result, was unable to comment.
